Top 5 tips to achieve longer eyelashes

Many of us don’t like the length of our lashes. We constantly see commercials of girls flaunting the lashes we wish to have. Fake lashes are a COMPLETE drag. They look long and wispy, which is what you want. But honestly, who has the time and the patience to be applying them? Aside from that, often, they don’t look natural. So we tend to try other things like making your eyelashes grow, but that takes time! Months even! And like previously said, who has the time and patience for that? So we have come up with a few tips to make your eyelashes appear longer. No false lashes required, no fuss. This is the all-natural way.

1.     Use Baby Powder

Baby powder is used as an enhancer. Begin by curling your lashes for about 8 seconds each. Then begin to coat your lashes, only one layer. After this, pour some baby powder into some form of a cup or a jar. Grab a Q-tip and begin to dust the powder onto your lashes. Make sure to get every single lash in order to achieve a fuller look. Lastly, coat your lashes one or a couple more times. By the next second your lashes should appear not only longer, but fuller.

2.     Add a different color to the tips

This is more of an illusion. This method is called the “Minking” method. Apply a mascara that’s a little lighter than your regular lashes. When you have finished, apply a coat darker than your lashes on the tips. This will make them appear thicker.

3.     Eyelash curler

Eyelash curlers are they key when it comes to achieving those long lashes. When you curl your lashes, they begin to curl up and lean your lashes in an upward motion. This is what you want. The more curled, the more noticeable the lashes can become. Hold your lashes in between the clamps for 8 seconds each.

4.     Wiggle your wand

When applying mascara, a problem we tend to do is just brush our lashes with the wand. You get better results by wiggling your wand. When you wiggle your wand, you are getting every single inch of the lash coated, from top to bottom. This separates all your lashes, making them appear longer.

5.     Tightlining

Lastly, tight lining is also considered an illusion type of method. Tight lining is when you apply an eyeliner on the inside of the lash line by swaying the pencil forwards and backwards to create a dramatic effect on the eyelashes. The tight lining of the lashes will overall give the illusion of fuller lashes.
