How To: Moisturize

The human skin is the body’s largest organ it requires its own specific attention to stay young, blemish-free and healthy. Moisturizing should be part of everyone’s daily routine for skin care, specifically the skin of the face. It helps by rehydrating the facial skin and can leave it feeling softer and smoother. Keeping facial skin hydrated helps reduce the chance of developing extreme dryness, oiliness and aging. You should figure out your skin type such as knowing if you’re and oily, dry or combination skin.  Choose the right products, and follow specific care guidelines to properly moisturize your face.

1.      You should first start off by recognizing your skin type, because many of these moisturizers can have a positive or negative reaction to it.
2.      You should never over wash your face, because it can make your face feel dry, flakey and stretched out. Avoid using hot water but lukewarm water.
3.      Before applying a specific moisturize, you should always use a cleanser to remove any oils, bacteria, or dust that may have been on your face.
4.      After you cleanse you want to use a toner, it is a mist that is refreshing and hydrating, making it great for dry skin. (used for extra cleansing)
5.      Then you’re going to want to use a face serum which is a lightweight moisturizer that penetrates deeper to deliver active ingredients into your skin.
6.      Lastly you want to end your face cleansing routine with a nice moisturizer preferably one that matches your skin type.
