Well, we have a quick easy way to make a homemade coconut butter scrub to leave your skin nice, smooth, soft and almost velvet feel. As you may or may not know, coconut oil is EXTREMELY beneficial to the skin. It’s a natural ingredient that serves as an antibacterial purpose. Aside from its health benefits, it also serves as an excellent moisturizer. Shea butter is a concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids causes it to be extremely nourishing, skin soothing, and serves as an anti-inflammatory substance. Now, in order to achieve that soft and soothing skin you need:

·         ½ cup of Brown Sugar
1.      Fill a 1/2 measuring cup with shea butter. Pack it down tightly. Then transfer the shea butter to small pan and heat up the pan. Gently heat until the butter softens and turns into a creamy texture. The goal is to soften the butter in order to make it easier to work with.

2.      Transfer the butter to a stand mixer and begin mixing at a high speed. The end result should be in a whipped form, no grainy texture.

3.      Begin to combine the oil and melted coconut oil together in a bowl.

4.       Slowly begin to pour the combination into the bowl of shea butter.

5.      Once all ingredients are combined, begin to mix until it has the same whipped, fluffy consistency.

6.      (Optional) Add essential oils and mix into the combination.

             To use:

1.      Rinse your face with lukewarm water.

2.      Grab spoonful of the scrub and begin massaging into your hands.

3.      Once the scrub is gently heated and easy to work with, begin applying on rough or patchy areas of the body.

4.      Rub the scrub into your skin in circular motions to exfoliate the surface.

5.      Rub for 3 min, and then rinse with lukewarm water.
